A few days ago, I was checking my new blog updates with Google Reader and one of the blogs I follow is The Lancome Blog: http://thelancomeblog.blogspot.com/
Their most recent blog is about W magazine's beauty editor, Jamie Rosen, who decided to try working out with celebrity fitness guru, Tracy Anderson. For those who don't know, Tracy is the personal trainer of Madonna and Gwenyth Paltrow. For 7 weeks, Jamie did Tracy's hardcore workout routines and got stunning results. Of course, this wasn't just the workouts.. Tracy had Jamie on a strict diet as well, but it all caught my attention because (if you check out the pictures), the final form of Jamie's abs are so different than the usual masculine 6 pack you get with typical ab workouts. This is what Tracy is known for. She did an 8 year study on the human body, specifically muscles and designed her own unconventional methods of excercise in order to get that lean, toned and slim ballett dancer's body without bulking up by doing the same workouts over and over.
Anyway, I found (read: downloaded

) Tracy's 3 workout DVDs and tried them myself for a few days and they're really really good. If you check out her dance cardio DVD, you might just die from watching how intense it is... but hey, thats why Madonna's figure is killer, right?
If you're curious as to what the results were like, definitely check out the article with the link to the pictures as well (and you'll see what I mean about the abs). One of the pictures show Jamie's before and after measurements and Tracy was able to lift her butt 4 inches in just 7 weeks! Who can argue with those results? There are also a few videos on youtube that you can get a glimpse of what her bootcamp is like:

When you watch the DVDs, some of the exercises she teaches seem so incredible easy but I dare you to try them yourself. They burn after a minute or two, and she really pushes you, even from the other side of the screen like a real personal trainer. I definitely recommend them to anyone that truly wants to change and improve themselves... these DVDs are definitely not for the lazy, easy-way-out people out there.
Also on the plus side is that she teaches you everything you need to do right at home on a mat with 3 pound dumbbells and just dance cardio, so there are no heavy-duty gym machines or anything like that necessary.
Ok, enough advertising.. just wanted to share all of that with you guys.
Do any of you workout, and if so, what do you do?
