PostSubject: Help! Hopeless asian eyes!   Tue May 26, 2009 2:53 pm

Is this the right place on the forum to ask for some help / advice?

My eyelids are very heavy, and the outer corner has "wings" that points down quite far.
And the eyelids are so heavy, they "flap over" my eyelashes so they point straight down.
Because they points down, mascara is a total nightmare for me...
Even if I curl and bend them and curl them again-if (when) they fall, it's hello blackeye...
To be honest, I didn't relax 100% in the picture with my eyes.
I find myself often to rise / lift my forehead a tad, so the eyes gets more open.
I do that so I get bigger eyes, and it makes me look less angry / sleepy.
So when I relax I have smaller eyes.

Is there anything I can do with my eyes that involves make up?
The deal is:
I need a makeup (eye) for workdays.
Nothing too advanced. With my skills, anything with more than 3 eyeshadows might make me look like a clown
I just want some color on there so people see I do make an effort in looking hot Laughing
Which colors should I look into?

Btw, LOVE Pixiwoo!!!

Hmmm toughie.

About mascara. Place a piece of card onto the lid, brush on the mascara, wait for it to dry reapply etc and then take away the card. I do it sometimes myself because I have long lashes but a small lid and often the lashes will catch on it and mark it (black eye). If you use white card it's a great way to ensure every lash has had a coating because it stands out more clearly.

Sometimes a quick swipe of mascara is all you need for a work look, maybe that and a bit of kohl. It can make the world of difference along with a clean face. Experiement with white eyeliner on the waterline and on the tear duct too to get that awake, wide eye look. I think the MAC pencil is called Fascinating, but Bodshop's white pencil works well in my experience.

I've also got a great double ended pencil from Bourgeois called Cafe Creme with a pale creamy pencil on one end for the water line and a brown pencil on the other that can be smudged into the lashes and lash line. Inner and outer eye contouring they call it. Have a go with those first. Maybe eyeshadow should come later once you've mastered those..?

P.s. It looks like you have BEAUTIFUL skin! Post pictures of your attempts!

My skin is so happy-happy because I use Rosen Seriens-Tvättgel, Dermalogica-Daily microfoilant and Decleor-hydra floral!

Oh my, you should have seen my skin before that...

Woohooo!
I have decided on surgery for this problem of mine!
And for the record, I DON´T do it to look more caucasian.
And I am NOT ashamed for being asian!
