SHINE!!! aHHH. Empty
PostSubject: SHINE!!! aHHH.   SHINE!!! aHHH. EmptyMon Jul 20, 2009 10:31 pm

Hey Guys,

I am using Dior Pure Light foundation and and Estee Lauder translucent powder but always end up getting really really shiny after an hour or two....

Any suggestions?? My skin isnt actually oily, though I do suffer from good ole acne - I want something with good coverage, yet not too thick and cloggy.

Is it my foundation, or should I try another type of powder???

Cheers Smile

try milk of magnesia- after you moisturise in the morning (let the moisturiser sink in) then rub a tiny bit of milk of magnesia on the places that get oily (if it dries chalky you used too much-just dust off the chalky bit and use less the next time) then apply your make up as usual.
I havent tried this myself yet (am definately getting a bottle of it today though)
but the reviews i have read/seen on you tube are saying that it is amazing! (no touch ups or blotting needed all day!!!)
good luck, hope this helps! x

Try powdering twice.
Once before foundation and once after.
I used the translucent chanel powder -idk if that made a big difference- and the base wasnt heavy it was a like between a tinted moisturizer and a light foundation.
and powder the foundation again.

or try a matte primer like matte from mac or matte primer from ilamasqua are 2 often favourited... =)
