PostSubject: New to MAC Make-Up   New to MAC Make-Up EmptySun Oct 04, 2009 5:40 am

Hey guys-I purchased some MAC make up for the first time today and included in my purchase I chose some eyeshadows. Well the gal at the counter told me to get a base so that the color will stand out better an last longer so I said ok throw it in. Well $300 later and when I got home I was going through my stuff the base she gave me was paint pot. Do you think this is correct or a mistake? I went to the MAC website and it says that paint pot is a cream base shadow that dries intensely and can be blended with other colors. I am so confused I think she gave me the wrong stuff but I dont want to make the trip back to the store if its the right stuff. If anyone know if this is correct please let me know!

Thanks in advance!

I should think the paint pot is either simular to your skin tone or the colours of eyeshadow you have chosen they are a really good base, I use Painterly paintpot 70% of the time as my eyeshadow base.

I agree, I donĀ“t think the paint pot was a mistake! You may have been confused because its not called "eyeshadow base", but if you have a paint that is close to your skin color (I use painterly and soft ochre a lot) then it is very good for keeping your eyeshadow on all day. and its a bit cheaper than your luxury eyeshadow primers like smashbox or urban decay.
