I am so excited.
I met the really lovely Illamasqua PR and Marketing ladies yesterday and they showed me around the range...and what a range it is.

I cannot wait to start using these products. When you see them you will be so amazed.

Hopefully I will have a video up next week, I am just waiting on a few products.

I can't wait to see you use more of the products in your tutorials. Where might one be able to purchase Illamasqua in the states?

From what I've heard, it's only available in the UK for now.

I can't wait to see these products. The website is gorgeous and I absolutely love Alex Box.. She's amazing.

It is expanding like wildfire and should be in the U.S by the end of the year.
At present it is Selfridges, Newcastle and Dublin but there are more to come.

Ok, so after reading/watching all the hype about this brand, im going to try some of there products.

i was wondering if anyone had seen there products first hand and could give me advice, as i cannot get to london for the next few months??

im very pale skinned, but some foundations can make me loook ill as i think i have alot of pink undertones to my skin.

through looking on the website, im going to buy the 'Rich Liquid Foundation' and am not sure what colour to get..

the RF100 looks too pale, and the RF105 looks to pink toned. anything else looks far to dark.

any suggestions on which one to buy?
and
if the RF105 is actually so pinky toned in real life?

Thanks Ladies x

I wouldn't buy foundation online unless I already knew what color I was. If you won't be in London for a few months, why not just stick to your regular foundation until you can try it in person? Or somehow find a way to get your hands on some samples.

You might choose the wrong shade (especially if your skin tone needs mixed foundations) if you purchase it online, and then that's money wasted since it can't be returned.

Janett is right. You are bound to get the wrong colour.

The Illamasqua brushes look gorgeous, sort of like the Giorgio Armani brushes. Sam, if you have a chance to check them out, let us know what you think about them. Aww

It is SO expensive (well for my budget atleast as someone who actually has to pay and at high end retail prices)

Oh well, quality and marketing and all that. Sometimes I enjoy being taken in by pretty packaging and good advertising, and so far i'm sold on Illamasqua.

Oh when I visited their stall as well I loved that they really seemed to play up to their slogan of "Makeup for your alter ego", as there was a sign up on their stall about an evening in Selfridges with Johnny Woo and The Trannies. He's a very funny drag queen-cum- gender bender comedian, I really love his little gang. Glad Illamasqua does as well!

I have to say, although their packaging is impressive the products arent brilliant, there are far superior brands out there. I was given a make over in Selfridges by the reps in store and walked away looking like a drag queen. The rep quite frankly did not listen to my requests or my requirements and just pretty much slapped it on. Whilst the make up does definately give you a dramatic look, the foundation is cakey and quite frankly awful. It has not made me sway from my beloved MAC for my eyshadow thats for sure! But each to their own!

Really excited to see some more Illamasqua in a tutorial Sam! I've had to stop myself running into Selfridges and pillaging the counter...I'll hang on for some recommendations before spending a fortune!
